The New Wellesbourne North and Rural Ward

The Local Government Boundary Commission for England has completed a review of the electoral ward boundaries across Stratford-on-Avon, to make sure Councillors represent about the same number of electors and that ward arrangements will help the council work effectively.

There are 41 wards; 37 single-councillor wards and two two-councillor wards.

This means there is a new political map for Stratford-on-Avon District Council and for the Wellesbourne

area there will now be three wards, namely Wellesbourne East and Rural, Wellesbourne South and Wellesbourne North and Rural.

Having represented the Wellesbourne East area for 9 years I have been elected as the new councillor for Wellesbourne North and Rural.

The new ward will include: Ashorne, Charlecote, Hampton Lucy, Lighthorne, Moreton Morrell, Moreton Paddox, Newbold Pacey and part of Wellesbourne.
