My Role

Being a District Councillor is about making a better place for residents to live, work and relax in.


I care passionately about what goes on in our local communities and my aims are focused on really understanding your concerns and making your views heard where they matter.


Having been elected a district councillor for the Wellesbourne Ward since 2014 I like to feel that I have a good understanding of the local issues and regularly attend all the parish council meetings across the ward.


Making a difference and making things happen in a transparent and ethical way, with values that are down to earth, is what you can expect and will get from me.

My Background

I have been privileged to be a District Councillor for Wellesbourne since 2014 and was the County Councillor for the Wellesbourne Division from 2017-2021.


I am currently a Cabinet Member at Stratford District Council with the portfolio for Economic Development, Tourism, ICT and Transformation.


In terms of my background I trained as a journalist in London and moved into the world of PR years later.  I set up my own PR consultancy in Stratford-upon-Avon in 1993 which merged with a Birmingham based agency in 1997 and was later sold to a major national player in 2006.


More recently I have worked in a local estate agents but since becoming a state pensioner, I retired from the commercial world to focus on my council work and spend more time with my two young grandsons.
